The advantages of rechargeable hearing aids
Rechargeable hearing aids, goodbye to batteries!
Rechargeable hearing aids have been on the market for a long time, but to date they were not optimally used, as the battery lasted no more than 2-4 hours. But today the landscape has changed and on the market there are already rechargeable hearing aids that last up to 24 hours on a single charge.
The battery in these hearing aids is made of Lithium-Ion, a material that has a much greater capacity to store energy than other materials used so far. In fact, many mobile or car manufacturers are also using it, because it has been proven that the battery lasts much longer. Hearing aid batteries are small and also consume very little. This allows a hearing aid to be charged in 3 hours and can be used for a whole day:
Furthermore, lithium-ion batteries typically last around 5-6 years, just the recommended time for changing a hearing aid.
What advantages do rechargeable hearing aids have at the hearing level?
The hearing technology used in rechargeable hearing aids is exactly the same as what we use in other hearing aids. The only thing that differentiates a rechargeable hearing aid from a conventional one is the use of battery or batteries.
What technological and functional advantages do rechargeable hearing aids have over battery-powered ones?
Usability: the user does not have to be aware of the batteries and, above all, it facilitates handling. Many times there are confusions to put the batteries in and with the rechargeable ones all you have to do is charge them every night in their charger case. These hearing aids work very well, for example, with people who have osteoarthritis or do not see well.
The forecast: rechargeable hearing aids give you a warning before turning off. Half an hour before running out of battery they warn the user of their low battery level, which allows them to anticipate the next charge. In addition, depending on the hearing aid model, you can also check the battery status through a mobile application.
"Eco-friendly": rechargeable hearing aids are more sustainable than battery-operated ones. They are powered by an electric current through a USB, which eliminates a multitude of highly polluting waste for the environment, such as batteries. Caring for the environment benefits us all!
Savings: Conventional hearing aids use an average of 60 batteries per year, depending on the model. Can you imagine the savings it represents throughout its useful life (between 5-7 years)?

Can hearing aids get wet?
Some hearing aid users tell us their wish for a manufacturer to launch a model with which they can swim. Unfortunately, we always have to tell you that it is something that will take time to achieve. On the other hand, people who buy hearing aids for the first time often ask us if they can get wet. The short answer would be NO although in reality it would be a NO but with nuances. Next, we will explain how hearing aids are related to humidity.
Hearing aids are endurance tested
The design of a new hearing aid model involves a series of new hearing-oriented technologies that are passed and failed to ensure the best result. What is not so obvious is that these new models also endure a large number of tests to verify their merely physical resistance. Manufacturers are continually trying to improve the durability of their appliances, as well as the ability to withstand the most extreme environments. In this way, each hearing aid model is classified according to a degree of IP protection, which is a scale established by official international regulations.
How do my hearing aids get in the water?
As a general rule, a hearing aid should not get wet. This statement should be viewed from the perspective that they should not be submerged in water or that, for example, we should not get into the shower with them. Even so, they do support certain situations where water is very present. For example, if it starts to rain and we are not carrying an umbrella, it is not necessary to run off the headphones. It would only be worrisome in the event of a torrential rain. There would be no problem if they were accidentally splashed with water, as long as it dries right afterwards. Basically the limitation is that no water gets inside the hearing aid.
Hearing aids in humid environments
Before we discussed the relationship between hearing aids and water, but another factor to take into account is that of humidity. If this is maintained over time, it can end up affecting the internal electronics of the hearing aid or some of its physical parts, such as the elbow in the BTE type, without really any drop of water entering it. And what do we understand by humidity maintained over time? An example would be living in a particularly humid climate. Another typical example would be that of a person who regularly sweats a lot, either due to his own metabolism or because he practices sports every day. We know that, at first glance, this seems like a difficult problem to solve but nothing could be further from the truth.

How do I know the power of my speaker
HOW TO INTERPRET THE POWER OF YOUR SPEAKERS
Here at CompuBoutique we love music and how it makes us feel, that is why we know how important is to have good sound quality. We will explain you how to properly interpret the power of the speakers, the type of sound power it has and what types exist in the market so you can learn a little bit more about them as well as some technical terms you need to focus on when choosing a stereo
First you must know that in a speaker the power is measured in watts (W), this indicates the strength of the speaker. There are different ways to tell the power of the speaker according to the manufacturer, effective or nominal power and (RMS), musical power or peak power.
NOMINAL OR EFFECTIVE POWER (RMS)
RMS stands for “Root Mean Square” and it indicates the level of power; its about the admissible power that the speaker can handle or tolerate before distorting the sound. This is the first important power you need to know to understand the power of the speakers.
If you force the speaker above that nominal power you could cause irreversible damage since this won’t be able to spread heat produced by the electricity that circulates through the coil and this might melt the insulating that covers the copper thread.
This measurement of power is what provides useful information when choosing a sound system and is also useful to compare between different models. The power is in fact what we need to consider at the time of making our purchase.
MUSICAL POWER
Is the amount of electric power a speaker is able to bear with an entrance signal of pink noise (sound that simulates any musical theme) without suffering any permanent damage.
Normally the duration of this test is one second and it repeats 60 times within 1-minute interval.
The value obtained is calculated over the nominal value of impedance, reason why when using the pink noise in ideal conditions you can get totally subjective results as well as less reliable.
How to properly use the microwave
How to properly use the microwave
The microwave allows you to cook, heat or unfreeze food in a fast way. It is very easy to use and you will only need to take a few precautions because if you don’t use it properly it can become a risk for your health.
If you do not know how to use it, we will give you some tips to make sure you use it safely and properly.
Make sure you use the right container
Glass, ceramic and plastic containers are good since their material passes on the heat and they do not get too hot, avoid using metallic containers or aluminum foil since they reflect the microwaves and can damage the microwave.
Cut food in small pieces
The microwaves penetrate the food up to 3 to 5 cm depending on their composition, so when the pieces are smaller the heat goes through easily and it can be warmed up fast and evenly.
Mix the food so they can be warmed up evenly
It might be a little hard to evenly distribute the microwaves inside which causes the food to be heated unevenly. To prevent this from happening is that the microwaves come with a spinning plate that allows better distribution of the heat.
Do not use hermetic containers
Covering the food means retaining humidity, however, make sure you leave a tiny space open to allow steam to get out during the warming up process.
Do not use the microwave to heat water
Heating water in the microwave can be dangerous because of the overheating, this occurs when the waters heats beyond the boiling point without producing bubbles, when this happens we might get burned when removing the water from inside or we can even cause an eruption that can cause us more burnings.

A BIT OF HISTORY OF THE RADIO
A bit of History of The Radio
Humanity has always found it's way of using technology to make every aspect of our lives so much easier, the Internet being the most obvious example.
The life of the average person is a great deal simpler than it was two decades ago.
For instance, in the past, if you needed information about the constitution of a cell for a school project, you had to read one or various biology books to find what you were looking for; whereas today, you only need to type the correct key words into your phone or computer, and whatever doubt you have is cleared in mere seconds.
Today, information and communication are right within our grasp, and we barely need to lift a finger to achieve either of them.
But, in order to get to this point in history, technology has come a long way, and before this new era of electrical devices and gadgets, scientists found other ways of communicating with the outside world easily. The first one being The Radio.
A bit of History
Towards the end of the 19th century, there were years of political uncertainty in great part of the world, with wars that threatened the stability of the great nations of the time.
This prompted a large number of scientists, universities and laboratories to hastily try to find a new communication system that did not need cables to transmit the information, the main drawback of the telegraph.
Based on Hertz's previous experiences since 1886, different research groups sought formulas to achieve this wireless telegraphy and thus achieve a military advantage over their rivals, thanks among other things to the possibility of communicating with the troops over long distances and especially with ships on the high seas.
Thanks to the new invention, the escalation of the military took a fundamental turn, since the world became smaller, any nation could spread messages and instructions across borders virtually instantaneously, although with a lower degree of security.
However, the Radio soon passed from the military to the civil world allowing the approach of information and music to the masses, who would never be isolated from the rest of the world.
After that, broadcasting systems gradually spread throughout the world, although it was not until the 1920s when the first regular broadcasts with entertainment programs began.
Later, around 1937, the first systems based on frequency modulation (FM) appeared that complemented those of amplitude modulation (AM) and that allowed to minimize interference problems and reduce static in the receivers due to the equipment itself and the environmental conditions.
Entering the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, the Radio became an element that was present in every household. Whether it was for a mother to listen to housekeeping programs, for a father to listen to the latest news around the world, or for the teenagers to listen to the rock and roll music that was booming in that era. The Radio was an infallible device for every family.
The Radio in the Present Day
Although it is true that nowadays, with the incorporation of new electronic devices such as cellphones, tablets and computers, the usage of Radios has diminished considerably; the advantages it possesses still make it an element impossible to erase.
Some of these advantages include:
• Not necessarily does it need an internet connection.
• You can take it with you wherever you go. If you're camping or on a road trip, thanks to it's wide coverage you can listen to your favourite stations wherever you go, whenever you want.
• It doesn't necessarily need electrical energy to function.
• It's a lot cheaper and accessible than any other device.
• Some modern models include flashlights, solar panels and many other features.
There is no doubt that we owe the wide communication and information range to the appearance of the first broadcasting system, and that the devices we love so much today were created in part, thanks to the invention of the Radio.
We hope that today you have learned about the importance Radios have in our history, and if you like, feel free to visit our website www.compuboutique.com and check out all the fabulous radios we have available just for you.
All the love, From Compuboutique.
